Dr David Stocker

Dr David Stocker has successfully commercialized multiple early-stage medical technologies, and joined the iSTAR Medical team in 2021 to bring his extensive commercial, market access, and medical affairs expertise to support the market introduction of MINIject.

David graduated as a Medical Doctor from the Zurich University Medical School in 1997 and worked as a physician at Zurich University Hospital prior to holding various roles in marketing, medical affairs, sales and training in Sanofi, Lilly, Medtronic and Covidien in Switzerland, California  (USA) and France. For almost 2 decades, David has been building and scaling up early-stage medical technology businesses as an intrapreneur in post-acquisition environments at large corporations (MiniMed, a diabetes technology start-up, and VNUS medical systems, a vascular medical technology start-up).

More recently, David built and upscaled medical technology start-ups in greenfield environments, such as NovoCure (brain cancer treatment) and PulmonX (lung treatment), which have since completed successful IPOs. David served as a member of the board and CMO for INDIGO Diabetes, and continues to work as a physician within the Swiss Army.
